Ensuring a smooth and supportive transition for new students. Each stage, from initial referral to final transition planning, is designed to make the experience as seamless as possible.
The local authority refers to SVA. If SVA is acceptable, the SENDCO or assistant will arrange a school visit for parents/carers and the young person.
Parents or guardians, together with the young person, receive a personalised tour of the site designed for the individual.
After the initial meeting, the SENDCO and/or SEND assistant will inform the local authority of their decision.
After the local authority has verified the placement, a letter of admission will be sent to the parents or guardians, officially acknowledging acceptance at SVA. Additionally, an admissions appointment will be arranged.
An Admissions meeting has been arranged with one of these representatives: the SEND Coordinator, SEND Assistant, Attendance Officer, Safeguarding Lead, or Inclusion Lead.
